Recycled Silver and Prehnite Necklace
I love using the bits and pieces of sterling silver leftover from other pieces to make new pieces if I can… and that’s how I made the top part of this pendant! I took bits and pieces and melted and fused them together. I then hammered and filed a whole lot to smooth out any rough spots to make sure it’s comfortable to wear. I then soldered a jump ring and attached a sweet little round translucent green prehnite which was set on a hammered base to match the feel of the melted silver. This prehnite has a few inclusions which can be seen in the close up photo. I’m so happy with how it turned out! It’s set on a simple sterling silver chain with two length options (approximately 17 inches and 18.5 inches, both shown). The necklace was also oxidized and tumbled to bring out all the pretty details…
Please note that this chain currently features a very small lobster clasp. If you’d prefer a larger clasp please let me know and I can swap it out.
