Apache Sage Rhyolite Necklace

A beautiful piece of Apache Sage Rhyolite I picked up on a work trip to Deming, NM where this material originates…. the dendrites and rings in the stone pattern are just so mesmerizing… This piece has been set on sterling with a hand hammered baseplate and nice thick diamond shaped sterling silver chain. Overall length is 19 inches but this can easily be worn shorter as the lobster claw fits in any of the diamond shaped links. The base plate was oxidized to bring out the texture and then the piece was tumbled to a shiny finish.
